If you’re a sports fan, and more particularly a fan of sports that don’t get a lot of media coverage, those that don’t always make it onto TV channels’ schedules, then this is for you: Sportall, a new digital player, offers you the only free mobile application providing access to an extensive catalog of on-demand videos of all sports and live broadcasts of sporting events.
A smart, intuitive mobile app, downloadable on iOS and Android, developed by a start-up based in Allauch in the Bouches-du-Rhône region and supported by Marseille’s Belle-de-Mai incubator dedicated to Multimedia.
We know that every sport has its fans, and as such, they all deserve as much coverage as the sports that usually dominate the traditional media,” explains Thierry Boudard, CEO of Sportall.
20 sporting disciplines and ambassadors
By the end of 2020, more than 20 sporting disciplines will be available on the Sportall app, including water polo, handisport, wrestling, water skiing and wakeboarding, badminton, baseball and American soccer, soccer derivatives and combat disciplines… which are finally visible to the largest number of fans thanks to quality content.
All sports are concerned, whether amateur or professional“, assures former Olympic swimming champion Malia Metella, who is associated with this project alongside other athlete ambassadors such as Manon Costard, world champion water-skier, Pauline Déroulède, wheelchair tennis champion and Morgan Bourc’his, triple world champion freediving athlete, not to mention certain federations who see this as a digital showcase for their disciplines.
Modern and customizable, the Sportall application enables fans to consume the sport they love, when they want and where they want.
Thanks to the “My Sportall” function, fans can find their favorite content, clubs and athletes, and create their own calendar of events.
Sportall presents sport from every angle: Live and Replay so you don’t miss a thing, tutorials to deepen your knowledge, reports and “Athlete Series” to better identify with athletes recognized in their discipline.
For Thierry Boudard:”The diversity of content we bring to the Sportall app is the raw material federations and clubs need today to reconnect with their audiences.
Audiovisual production, the sinews of war
More than just an application, Sportall is today a partner in the service of sports media coverage. Sporting rights holders, such as federations and clubs, have understood this and have entered into a partnership with Sportall: they gain access to all the tools made available by Sportall, from recording to broadcasting. In return, they commit to creating as many fan videos as possible with Sportall’s help. The start-up supports rights-holders in LIVE production. Thanks to a network of professional videographers and journalists, trained in Sportall’s simplified production tools, the start-up can capture and broadcast live from any sporting event in France, at an affordable price for organizers and at a level of quality close to what we’re used to seeing on TV: multicam, commentator, live scores, etc. ‘
“By filming live sporting events with Sportall, organizers can offer the public the chance to follow their favorite team from home, as we are currently doing for the French Elite Water Polo Championship,” emphasizes Pierre Debleme, Sportall’s Sales and Marketing Director.
